The Heavy Rain Chronicles were intended to be a series of short, downloadable prequels to Heavy Rain. The only title released was Heavy Rain Chronicles: Episode One - The Taxidermist. The chronicles have been cancelled after one episode due to resources and time being allotted to adapting Heavy Rain to the Move system.

They were ment to explain how Norman got his cheek scarred and became addicted to triptocaine, as well as how Madison developed her insomnia, although the events of Episode One could explain this.

Quantic Dream announced the upcoming release of their next title, Beyond: Two Souls, at E3 in 2012.
